I have apparently killed jswells.com and am trying a restore. Fuck.

I decided to start posting the first draft of We W

I decided to start posting the first draft of We Were Innsmouth on Jswells.com as a follow up to the earlier short Lovecraftian stories. It is an idea I've wanted to do something with since I moved here to Providence, a memoir of an aging deep one that relocated to Providence when Innsmouth was destroyed. I'll have links to pdfs or epubs of those up soon once I make some time to set that up. It may be a while before the next Sol Survivors novella gets posted as I'm groin deep in heavy rewriting and expanding that story. Luckily can post this up in the meantime. It novella length, somewhere in the 30,000 word length in 12 chapters plus a prolog and epilog. I'll post a chapter every other day or so. After this I have 2 other novellas that I can post after this. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in audio versions of any of this? #Providence #artwork #Writing #HPLovecraft #CosmicHorror

Credit to @whatsgoingoninrhodeisland PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A growing online petition is calling for Waffle House to expand into Rhode Island, with organizers saying the Ocean State is ready for the popular 24-hour diner chain.

The Change.org petition, launched earlier this week, asks Waffle House executives to consider opening a location in Rhode Island. As of this week, the petition has attracted hundreds of signatures from residents hoping to bring the Southern restaurant chain to the state.

The petition’s creator, Evan Masse, says Rhode Island lacks a true 24-hour diner chain and points to the state’s nightlife, tourism industry, college population and shift workers as reasons a Waffle House could thrive locally. He also believes the restaurant would provide a dependable late-night dining option for residents and visitors alike.

In the petition, Waffle House is described as “an American icon” known for affordability and around-the-clock service. The petition also states that Rhode Island is “ready for Waffle House” and points to what organizers see as strong public interest in bringing the restaurant to the state.

The campaign also highlights the potential economic benefits of a Rhode Island location, including job creation, increased tourism and additional business activity. Organizers say a large number of signatures and social media engagement could help demonstrate demand to company leaders.

Waffle House operates more than 2,000 locations across much of the South and Midwest but currently has no restaurants in Rhode Island. The company has not publicly responded to the petition.

People who have known me for a long time may remem

People who have known me for a long time may remember an old character that I drew way back in the late 90's. I've had a story in my head for all these decades and have finally started to hash it out. Originally it was going to be a graphic novel as everything I ever wrote was going to be but I never had the ability to work on one with the time it deserved, thus I kept stopping when it didn't come out as well as I wanted it to. Writing in novella form with illustrations has kind of unlocked the best of how I want to do storytelling in a way that I'm actively able to produce full projects (I won't say finished because I'm in serious need of an editor). After spending some time in the hospital with nothing else to do, I got a very good grasp of this story I've been sitting on for decades as I hit a block with the Sol Survivors novella rewrite. #artwork #drawing #Writing #Horror #Novella
