Happy songs are generally irritating. Many, many years ago when I was much younger I got into a bit of an argument with a Sunday school teacher about my taste in music. It came down to the idea that the music you listen to can affect your mood and disposition, which I agree with wholeheartedly, but he went on to say that metal and other such evil music put you in the wrong frame of mind for a balanced, happy life. I disagreed saying much what I posted about yesterday about adult contemporary music lacking any heart, soul or purpose and THAT was the kind of music that pissed me off. He went on to tell my my soul was unbalanced, yadda, yadda (it was later that an idiot of a youth pastor told me I was demon possessed but that was for a whole other, even more ridiculous reason).
After saying all of that, this song isn’t a very loud song at all despite the fact that the rest of the album it’s from is much more aggressive. This song is just funny…in a fairly depraved sort of way and the style of the music is what makes it that much funnier. Don’t think less of my because of my sense of humor…well, maybe those pastors had something…
