As mentioned in the last post, I don’t listen to the radio. Unless I feel like classic rock, there just isn’t enough decent music played on the air to tolerate the commercials and DJs and I really don’t like the idea of paying for satellite radio just so I can lose money listening to somebody else’s crap mix. Pandora, however, is a beautiful thing. Now that I can stream it on my Droid as well as the PC, I can spend all of my money on the links to Amazon music that Pandora provides when I hear something new I can’t live without owning on CD.
The old model of music distribution and promotion is dying, thank every god and goddess that may or may not have ever existed. New bands are finding new ways to promote themselves without the need for middle management. This group found me on MySpace and I instantly fell in love with their music. That never happens on the radio…
