1 1/2 oz Pikesville Rye
3/4 oz Averna Amaro
3/4 oz ROOT Liqueur
1/4 oz Pure Maple Syrup
2-3 dashes Owl & Whale Cranberry Bitters
Mansinthe Absinthe rinse
Stir everything but the Absinthe with ice and strain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass rinsed with the Absinthe. Live Deliciously.
This has been in the works for a while and I finally got it to where I really, really like it. It’s not listed under the Blackened Cocktails heading as it’s not a remake of a drink that already existed but it’s something new and original. I am, however putting it in the Cocktails From Beyond category as it is inspired by a move.
I’m going to have to try some other Root Beer liqueurs to see what matches best in the future once ROOT is no longer available. See the original post here.
