Black Lace

 

1 ½ oz. Cold River Traditional Gin
½ oz. Creme de Violette
½ oz. Averna
¼ oz. Butterfly Boston Absinthe

Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Hit it with a twist of Lemon.

Based on The Arsenic and Old Lace Cocktail, this is another classic that seemed fit to be blackened with Averna. In the ingredient swap I upped the Averna to a half ounce instead of the listed quarter ounce of Dry Vermouth. The original also had Pastis at a half ounce but I subbed a quarter ounce of Absinthe so it wouldn’t overpower the rest.
