Halfway through…and how strange that this song has the same title as the one from yesterday….

You’ve all had that friend…the one that was really cool until they started dating someone lame and end up growing a splintery rod up their ass (I call this “Getting Cherylled” and you have to say “Cheryl” with an exaggerated pause in the middle “Cher-yl” so it sounds as annoying as she was). This can happen to anyone and has certainly happened to me in the past…you feel so much ridiculously misguided love horndoggedness toward somebody you’ll try to do and be anything to make that person happy. Now, I trust my very good friends to brain me with a sledge if this ever happens to me because I can get all googly over some hottie at times and it hasn’t always worked out so well in the past…So, unless you’re all lying to me, I guess I’m this time doing o.k.

So, really, much of this song really doesn’t actually reflect me and my life as the lyrics are written. I chose this song because, well, 1- it’s an awesome cover, 2- it’s titled “Crazy”, 3- I’m sick of Bullet with Butterfly Wings (The Smashing Pumpkins ‘Rat In A Cage’ song) that those fucks on Whale Wars use as their theme song, and, 4- while I’m not actually living in this self hating state of unidirectional love, there was an inner fear at the beginning that I would become that guy (again) because I am ridiculous and generally familiar with ending up an empty husk of a human being.  I’m usually a whole lot more self confident when I’m single that when I’m actually with someone (I think it ties into that whole living a lie thing, but, you know, whatever). Again, this time is different so it is all good (but don’t we always think that?). I think I did pretty well (unless you are all lying to me and I’m delusional…).

I do keep telling The Princess that if we weren’t dating I would be stalking her…hmm…
